VPN: Automatic Upgrade for Cisco VPN Version 4.x to 5.x on Windows
Purpose of the Knowledge Article
Provide information on what to expect during the automatic upgrade for Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client VPN 4.x to Cisco Secure Client VPN 5.x on Windows.
Resolution

Connect to the VPN as you normally would

Click Accept

The Cisco VPN client will check for available updates and download them

Once the download is done, the installation will start

Click Yes
Note: Be sure to save your work before clicking Yes

Once the computer restarts, you can continue using the VPN
Note:
- Old icon
to new icon 
- You can click the
to verify the Cisco Secure Client version
- The client will be renamed from Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client to Cisco Secure Client.
